Eduardos injury

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE TACKLE ON EDUARDO
HOW COULD SOMEONE DO THIS

After only 3 minutes of the game, there is a real case for this tackle being specified as premeditated deliberate assault and therefore worthy of criminal proceedings. I have never in 50 years seen anything so intentional except for Man U's Neville brothers attack on Reyes at Old trafford in the 50th game of our unbeaten run.

It is sickening incident and puts the dissappointment of the result into true perspective. Eduardo is a lovely footballer and character and it is shameful that a representative of British football should behave towards him in this shameful way.

Sadly it reflects on us all.

it was a terrible challenge on eduardo and i hope the proper action is taken out on martin taylor. his challenge was very high.

i hope the arsenal team can do the job for eduardo and hopefully they can present him with a premiership medal at the end of the season.he deserves it because he has played his part this season.

and to eduardo thanks for all you have done this season and i wish you a speedy recovery.

Shocking tackle....Fifa have to take a stand on these thugs...Dean saunders On Paul Elliot, Hunt on Peter C ech, Eboue on John Terry....Wenger is right to be furious, that kid will be lucky to walk again let alone play after that tackle....If Rugby can get their house in order why can't football do the same

Life banning for studs first tackling..

Team docking of points...

Heavy offending team fine...

Offending player banned for life...

Send a strong message that this is not tolerated in any football game..

oh my holy macaroni
his foot completely came of.
how on earth are doctors going to manage to put his foot back on..
the commentators were saying that the doctors would have to decide whether or not operate.
Judging by the last picture how can they repare his foot without operating.
It was Right not to show replays on Tv of this.
The players were clearly aaffect by the incident.

Hmmm, I'm in two minds about this one. I dont for one minute think Taylor went out to "do" Eduardo - he's not that kind of player. I think Eduardo does move the ball as the challenge comes in, which puts his leg directly in the way of the tackle, and makes it look as though Taylor went deliberately high on him.

A shocking outcome, of that there is no doubt, but all those calling for tackling to be banned what to get real. Tackling is part of the game, a real skill in those who are good at it, and the powers that be in Football are already trying to eradicate it from the game by giving Referees stupid laws to obey when a tackle is mistimed. Injuries like we saw today are, thankfully, few and far between. I can only think of 2 injuries on a similar scale - Alan Smith's dislocated foot when he blocked that venomous shot, and David Busst's very similar break to Eduardo's at Old Trafford. Busst never played again - I hope Eduardo is more fortunate, but a ban on tackling is NOT what the game needs.

i think wenger is right this man should never play again!!! if it was on purpose then it's obvious this man should never spend a minute on a pitch again & if it was an accident then the man's a liability and a danger to other players accidents do happen but not in a serious profession where it can be career ending
